Capotechnique™
Capotechnique is the integration of Contemporary dance, highlighting Afro-Cuban folklore dance narratives with movement, rhythm and chants associated with the Cuban Dance. The class begins with a healing improvisational practice inspired by the representation of the Orisha, followed by a structural Capotechnique embodied practice method. Students learning Capotechnique will learn contextual and philosophical information pertaining to the Orishas while also learning and amplifying their voices by singing the Orisha chants.
